Erico

 Erico is a master Pilates instructor with over 20 years of experience in the field. His clientele includes but is not limited to athletes, dancers as well as a wide spectrum of individuals with pre-existing conditions and/or injuries that need an accurate touch and a personalized fitness program oriented to improve body mobility and proper anatomical function.

Erico's body approach is physically dynamic yet compassionate and visual. The goal is to transcend the pilates experience into a 'magical journey' . While infusing physical cueing with proper choreographic guidance clients are able to tap into a joyful state of  accomplishment and energetic balance. In addition, by releasing myofascial trigger point pain associated with muscle tightness surrounding the skeletal structure Erico's hands on practice allows him to treat the body in a kinetic fashion.

Erico received his certification in Pilates at the Kane School in NYC in 2002.  He has also received additional training with master teachers Madeleine Black, Kelly Kane and Dr George Russell at The Swedish Institute of NYC. Erico received his Thai Yoga massage training by Ananda Apfelbaum in 2006. In 2017 he completed his Reiki certification receiving the attunements by Master Reiki Teacher Geordie Numata. In addition Erico has taken the “Core” curriculum one year program on Gestalt psychotherapy at Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy Institute in NYC and keeps an on going participation of Somatic Supervision group sessions with Ruella Frank Ph.D. at The Center for Somatic Studies.

As a professional dancer and former gymnast Erico received his dance training education at Merce Cunnigham Studio in NYC and The Joffrey Ballet School. He has been a featured dancer on the Broadway production of The Green Bird directed by Julie Taymor and at The Metropolitan Opera House in productions such as Die Frau ohne Schatten and Benvenuto Cellini.
